Mackinac Island, Michigan Engagement Session

The Straits of Mackinac

Mackinac Island is one of the most beautiful and fun-filled places to take engagement pictures. You go back in time when you arrive, to a place where motorized vehicles were not yet used. Although you cannot use motorized vehicles of any sort, we were able to bike across the island to find the best spots for photos. Kyle, groom-to-be, works on the island in the winter time! He knew all the most beautiful locations, and the best routes to the more natural scenes. During the winter, the island only hosts a few hundred people. In the summer, it is full of tourists who come over to the island by ferry to experience a truly historical place.

It didn’t really cross my mind that we’d be biking across Mackinaw Island, and being 6 weeks postpartum, biking has been a scary thought! BUT, I am so glad I “broke the ice” into exercising again. The bike ride was great. Everyone was a little sweaty, but nothing a little Photoshop work couldn’t handle.
