Summertime in Northern Michigan | Family Portrait Session
Northern Michigan Family Portraits
If you’ve never been to Northern Michigan in the summertime, you need to come visit! There is something special about the “cottage life” status that many vacationers enjoy on the weekends. I mean, come on, even Kid Rock wrote a song about it! All these “yahoos” in this Northern Michigan Family Portrait session, as grandma likes to call them, visit Burt Lake every summer. What an awesome way to grow up with the cousins! If you live here, you call these vacationers “Fudgies”, although they don’t like that name!
These family portraits were taken on Burt Lake, a section of Northern Michigan’s Inland Waterway. The waterway is Michigan’s longest chain of rivers and lakes. Here, eating ice cream, fishing off the dock, and boating the 40 miles of connected fresh water is what we do best! The Dach family is one of many groups of “yahoos” enjoying this beautiful place I call home. If I’ve inspired you enough to come visit us here in Indian River, don’t forget the bug spray!!
